Why RSS Feed numbers change a lot
Everyone likes to wake up in the morning and look at a blog to see how many readers they have to their RSS feed, but can be disappointed when the numbers fluctuate so much. There is a reason for that. If you notice that one day all of the sudden the number of readers on your feed has gone done quite a bit don’t fret.
The chicklet on your blog represents the amount of active readers for a specific period of time. So lets say some of your readers check for fresh content in the feed every other day. Well that would explain the numbers better. In fact you may have more readers than you really think because different groups of people are checking the feed on different days. If everyone subscribed to the feed were to check for updates all at once each day then this would reflect that.
If your feed numbers don’t seem to be growing the way you like them to no need to worry, they will. It will no doubt take good articles and consistency as was mentioned before until you start seeing better results. Just be consistent and you will see, and don’t forget to market yourself.
