Its funny that Burger King decided to pull a Whopper Freakout publicity stunt that has gotten some attention. The Whopper Freakout is basically video of Burger King showing how people react when they tell them they stopped serving the Whopper. This I would say was a pretty funny way of marketing. Not only do they get attention, but you will people in the video saying, “I hate Wendys” , or “I hate McDonalds”. The fact is that people love them some Whopper.
Burger King got attention because the video they have on their site is not only funny, but because they went to an extreme to get peoples reactions. What do you do online to get reactions from people. Do you market in this way to drive traffic to your blog or website? If not then you might consider it. The fact is that anything out of the norm or odd can get attention pretty quickly.
The final thing I must say that was my favorite part of the Whopper Freakout was when the King came out and handed everyone their Whopper. He even got a hug. If I was there I know I would have given him a hug, or maybe not actually. Every time I watch the Burger King commercials the King freaks me out when he appears out of no where to hand the whopper over.
