Using the blogs that follow list
I am sure many of you are familiar with the blogs that follow. I think when I first read courtneytuttle.com thats how I actually came accross his blog. Through the D-list of blogs that follow or as Court says do not use the no follow atribute You can get some nice free links. Blogs that follow
For those of you that are thinking that You will just write one word like “thats cool!” or “awesome!”, then don’t use it. There is nothing more thats really junk than someone just using your blog for a free link and not even posting anything decent.
So what I do recommend is to actually participate in these blogs. It will be appreciated by the blog owner and you are more likely for people to actually look at what your site is about, and click on the link you have provided when you made the comment.

Justin,
Thank you for posting this. I’ve visited Court’s blog several times and did not know about the D-list.
You touched on a key point… Don’t bother posting unless you have something of value to say.
A lot of blog owners, including myself, will delete pointless comments if they do not add anything of value to the conversation. I have no objection to letting the juice flow, as it were, to even an unrelated site, provided the commenter is posting something of value on my site.
BTW… I found you through BlogRush.
