Google App Inventor For Android

July 12, 2010, Category: Google

One of the most amazing steps I have seen yet where Google should receive some praise is with their App Inventor which was just released today. It allows those who want to build simple and even somewhat complex apps to do so whether they are experienced programmers or have never programmed a single line of code.

Where the App Inventor really shines, is that it is geared towards the education of students and those in the classroom environment. While it obviously would be in Googles best interests for the young minds of today to embrace its technology, Google is definitely looking longterm here and making things simple and concise for everyone to build apps for social networking, learning, and personal improvement.

If you have not yet seen the new App Inventor I suggest you check it out. Its pretty amazing. To get started go to http://appinventor.googlelabs.com. It has not been publicized if this new app inventor will allow just anyone to sell apps in the Android marketplace, but many fear of it causing clutter. We hope Google takes this into consideration by allowing only apps with decency and quality to but added there.

10 Breath-taking 3D Pavement Street Art Illusions

July 8, 2010, Category: Art, Design

I have always been a fan of 3D pavement street art. Also known as 3D street art, these stunning works of art often feature illusions that will make your eyes burst out of their sockets when you see how awesome they are! These paintings are a true feast for the eyes, and the only thing that makes me sad is the thought that they could be erased of because most are created using chalks. Hmm, perhaps there’s a way to conserve and protect these fabulous creations?

Here are 10 breath-taking 3D pavement street art illusions, and some information about their highly talented creators:

1. Edgar Müller
Edgar Müller is a talented German artist whose work has been mentioned by publications worldwide including the Daily Mail. He specializes in art work featuring chasms separating an urban town, rivers and fast flowing bodies of water flowing through towns and a gargantuan butterfly who has seemingly appeared out of a crack in the streets. This artist worked hard for 5 days, up to 12 hours a day, to create these memorable paintings.
