So the question is, how good is Hostgator. Well that’s why I am writing this Hostgator review. A lot of people that buy hosting make some of the biggest mistakes when they don’t know where to start. Because they don’t know which hosting company is the best, they end up buying from a no name company that may not be there tomorrow. So how does Hostgator stack up against the rest of the competition? lets take a look at their uptime which they say is 99%. Is that true? Well i can tell you I have had 3 hosting accounts with them for the last 6 months, and have had no problem at all. If you are looking at getting a cheap service or just downright free web hosting space then you will be getting crappy service as well.

With Hostgator the hosting space is virtually unlimited when you buy a shared plan. Most average people will never use what is there. the only thing that would ever catch you would be the  system resources of the server should you all of the sudden start getting tons of traffic.     I’ve been with HostGator for about 5 years. They are very good in some ways but lacking in others.

    They’ve had very good uptime and latency, but their servers have been hacked twice, and both times, they had no backups.

    I had to upload my own content again.

    Pros and Cons.
