I was recently visiting a popular blog when I noticed something, as I usually am immune to google ads. The google ad was entitled “How to cook crack”. Now if that doesn’t get someones attention I don’t know what will. I had to investigate as I didn’t think a google ad would promote drugs.

After my curiosity got the best of me, i found that it was related to get drug help through a rehab. Well thats fine, but I guess the people that are drawn to such an ad would only be people who have a drug addiction right? Just to clarify things, I do not use drugs.

This kind of advertisement just goes to show the ways that people are being atracted to look at them.  If you don’t get someones attention through something that is common and accepted the tactic people use is to shock. This often gets a reaction and causes a person to investigate as I did.

This should be a lesson to those that advertise on the internet but are not receiving results. Is it possible you may include a shock factor or something odd to get people to investigate? It just might be a good idea.
