After looking over things I might change, I realized that I had developed too many categories. If this was a blog about everything and anything it would be just fine, but because it is focused mainly on Hosting, blogging and tech related things, it is unnecessary to have  categories that just take up space and spread out the internal linking of a blog.

So with that, I have tried to cut categories down to a minimum of only 12. If you have a blog that is focused on certain subjects and find yourself with many categories it might be good to look it over and see if you can cut them down to a lower amount.

Some of the benefits for doing this are

• Helping your readers know more about what your blog is about.
• Helping your Search engine optimization.
• Helping your PageRank by not spreading links out more than necessary sitewide.
• Freeing up space for ads or other important info.

So if your wanting to tidy up your blog, take a good look at your previous posts and move over single posts to categories that have a decent amount of posts already.
