I am sure that you are aware of the fact that Google has been slapping the sites of people that are proudly sposoring pay per post. This is bing done by PR which some
people are finding to be a big fat 0 when they check their sites the next day. Now you may see the fact that John Chow displays it on his blog, but what in the world would any small blogger be doing displaying that thing that tells people what they will write a post for a certain cost of. Before it was ok but now it is not.
If you have a link on your site of Pay Per Post and you got the Google slap, You deserved it if you have been reading about what Google has been doing to people and you did nothing about it. The fact of the matter is, People know what they shouldn’t put on their blog anymore. Its follow links and banners of stuff that can get them in trouble. So be careful about what you proudly display and put a no follow on that stuff. You can’t afford to be like John Chow. He has a huge following, so he doesn’t need Google. If you don’t have a huge following then you do need Google, especially to gain some ground in search engines and whatever other advantage you can get. If you don’t you might find that when you check your blog the next morning your PR has been deflated. If you can live with it and don’t care, then by all means.

Something I have noticed so often with social online activity is that some people misconstrue the meaning of comments sometimes, whether its on a blog, social bookmarking site or video site. I’m sure you will agree with me that it is so easy to mistake what one person may be truthfully implying, as sarcasm.
After reading comments on a few particular blogs today I realized how important it can really be to make yourself clear when leaving a reply to a comment, or just commenting in general. If you say something that can be mistaken by the person that it is intended for you might not only make that person upset but any of those that may be supporters of that person. In turn that will really hurt potential visitors from coming to your site, or it could work the opposite way.
So as a final thought, Make sure its clear what you are telling someone so you don’t end up stepping on 100 toes in the end. And I guess if you mean to really let someone have it then feel free to burn your own bridges.

Have you ever written articles and put an affiliate link within the post only to find that someone else has gone and just replaced yours with theirs. Or maybe you don’t want someone to see the exact affiliate link that you are using in whatever article you are writing. There is a solution and I am sure many of you are aware of it. It’s called tiny url.
Heres an example Tinyurl.
If you go to tinyurl.com you will find that you can shrink any link that you have by an enormous amount. It’s great for several reasons. The first being that you can use it for signatures and others that roll over it with their mouse won’t know what its for until they click on it out of curiosity. Another reason is that it will save you a lot of time from typing out a full affiliate link.
Hope you have enjoyed this ultra short post.
